Central Board of Secondary Education 12th English paper was conducted on 2 March over the country. As many as 12.87 lakh candidates have registered for the 12th Class board examination 2019. The exam concluded at 1:30 pm and the first feedback of teachers and students have been recorded. While overall the question paper was balanced by the authorities, some candidates have reported concerns over the choice in the questions from the novel. Many teachers have also been asked to give feedback to the board regarding the same. CBSE has a provision wherein the teachers are needed to provide feedback to the board regarding the question paper. Any concerns over the questions paper are then recorded and accordingly checked by the examination board. Soon after the paper started, the dilemma over the choice in the novel question began to do rounds. Many candidates reportedly spoke with the teacher on duty and showed concern over the choice.

Messages have also been exchanged however there is no confirmation as yet. However, some teachers have shown that they might write to the board in regards to the choice and ask boards to be given grace marks in lieu of. As for the remaining paper, the overall feedback was a nice and well thought out paper. Candidates were particularly happy with the writing part which has enough choices for every candidate. The reading part was also said to be simple and well balanced. It was from the syllabus and fully balanced with enough choice for all kinds of aptitude. The paper was also considered as scoring by many. As for the change on grace marks, teachers said that it was too soon but the candidate may get grace marks. The next examination is on March 5 for Physics.
