Council for the Indian School Certificate examinations are going on. Previous day ICSE (10th class) students have appeared for Hindi exam. As per the reviews are given by the students and the teachers the level of the question paper was easy but at the same time, the paper was set lengthy. So, the candidates are satisfied with the questions came in the board examination but many of the candidates not able to attempt all the questions. This puts the candidates in a dilemma of how much they will score in the examinations. ICSE exams have started from Feb 22 and will continue till March 25. The exam timings are both from 9:00 am and 11:00 am. On February 26, Hindi paper was schedule. The exam is 3 hours duration started from 11:00 am.
After the Hindi paper, there were different reactions of the students and teachers. According to candidates experienced shared the paper was simple but quite lengthy. As Hindi is a subject which consists of the questions very long. So, students find challenging to manage the time while attempting the questions. Some candidates able to complete their question on time but they did not get time to revise. While there are some candidates who not able to attempt all the questions and find the paper a bit complex.
Manavi Kaur (student) from Strawberry Feilds High School said that due to the lack of time she not able to attempt 1 question of 5 marks. While another candidate Stephen Madan said that he able to complete his paper on time but the question paper was lengthy and high scoring.
Vidhisha Agarwal (Student) shared her experience on Quora and said ” It went about fairly well. I found the letter topics a bit hard. Essay topics were simple and scoring. Some difficult questions were asked in Sahitya Sagar – kahaniyan. Grammar was simple but the first question in do as directed was unexpected. Question Paper was lengthy. Overall, it was nice but I cannot predict my marks as it solely depends on the teacher correcting my paper “.
Not only the candidates but there are many teachers who accepted with this that the paper was long but at the same time highly scoring. Nothing came out of the syllabus and most of the questions have already covered in the pre-boards. The shining faces of the candidates coming out from the exam hall increase the confidence of the teachers that the candidates will pass in Hindi examination with flying colors.
Likewise Hindi, CISCE candidates of ICSE and ISC found the English Literature paper quite easy unexpectedly but lengthy.
