On March 07, 2019 Madhya Pradesh board has announced the notification for the same. Thus, board exams will be back in the 5th and 8th class of MP Board. At the same time, the MP board made clear to all the state board affiliated schools that no student will be expelled from school till the completion of elementary education.

As per the notice declared if any student was not able to get the result status as pass then he/she will be provided extra classes and received the chance for re-examination within a period of two months from the date of result announcement. And if the student again gets fail in the re-exam then he/she shall not be promoted further. This means that a student will need to repeat with the same class.

While the idea of implementation of board examinations has been proposed from the 2017- 2018 academic session. However, the union government has not given permission to the state for conducting the board examinations for 5th and 8th class students. The reason behind the disapproval was that the amendment requires to be made in the RTE Act to carry forward the process. And so, after the amendment made the board examinations for 5th and 8th class resume. In August 2016, before forwarding the same to the union government for approval state education department had passed the proposal first.

MP Board conducts the 10th and 12th class board exams in the month of March annually. Similarly, the board is going to conduct the board examinations for 5th and 8th class students. Keeping in mind the future of thousands of students MP board has come up with this action and also provide the second chance to the students to clear the examinations if not in the first attempt.
