TN Board 12th exams 2019 are starting from today i.e. March 01, 2019. The old syllabus and new syllabus students first exam is Language. The Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has also wished the students to do well in the examinations. However, still, the students of the 12th class are confused about the new examination pattern. After the change in the exam pattern, this is the first batch which is going to appear for the examinations. So, the students are nervous due to the changes in the board examination pattern. As per the new pattern, the examination duration has been reduced from 3 hours to two and a half hours. Earlier, the board uses to assign 200 marks to the per subject. But now, the TN Board has reduced it to 100 each subject rather than 200. Also, the question papers of Language & English have been merged. Initially, these exam papers were separate.

On the other hand, the students were also worried because the board had not explained the topics and the respective marks from the specific section. So, the, students are confused about which part of the syllabus would have how man marks. Although the Directorate of Government Examinations had declared the sample or model papers. But it didn't release the proper answer key. The model papers were made by the Tamil Nadu Educational Board. As per the official, this step was an effort to prepare the students so that they don't depend on the back of the book questions. 

 

This year the board examinations of Tamil Nadu board will be held at 7,081 centres. In the current year, the number of exam centres has been increased by 150. Now, the students are not needed to travel more than 10 km to appear for the board examinations. Also, to prevent the Question paper leak, the board has found 691 routes through which papers will be carried to the examination centres. Also, with the same route, the answer sheets of the students will be transported to the control rooms. The board has also decreased the number of private school teachers employed in the exam process. From 50,000, it has been drastically decreased to 2,000 for language and English examinations.

 

The second examination of 12th class is on March 05, 2019 for English. The exams will end on March 19, 2019.
